Description

Bremen's 'drawing room' is the Marktplatz, and its greatest attraction is the town hall. Guided tours of the historic building provide an insight into its fascinating 600-year history. The tour includes the impressive Upper Town Hall and a look into the splendid Golden Chamber. Since 2004, the Town Hall and the Roland have been inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Town hall entrance nearest the cathedral, next to the statue of the knight on horseback (small door to the left of the display case).

General note
Due to the way events are scheduled in the town hall, tour dates are only released for booking around one month in advance.
The town hall is closed to visitors during official receptions, council sessions and other events. 

The following rules apply to all tours of town hall:
*Guests may only walk through town hall accompanied by the guide.
*There are no public restrooms and seats in town hall.
*Smoking, eating, and drinking are not permitted during the tour.
*Backpacks, shopping bags, umbrellas, water bottles, and wet jackets/coats are not permitted. These must be left in the cloakroom in the entrace area during the tour (no liability).
