“REMIX 2020: A new look at the collection”
A change of scenery! The Kunsthalle Bremen is presenting its collection in a fundamentally new way. It's not just the wall colors that are changing. The art history has also undergone a revision. Surprising finds from the depot meet well-known masterpieces. What has long been shown in separate halls now comes together: German and French art start a creative dialog.
The new presentation also links a regional perspective with global events and spans the period from the Middle Ages to the present day. This is reflected in programmatic spaces on global trade, climate change and the struggle for faith - topics that have moved people for centuries. The works of art reflect their unbroken topicality. The Remix collection presentation is constantly renewed and supplemented by current donations and permanent loans.
